Dreams

Some people believe that dreams have meanings that reflect something about us that has, will or is happening in our lives. In fact there are studies and complete careers out there surrounding dream analysis. I had one last night in which I was going to a major company meeting. They took us on a cruise to the Bahamas, but when I got to the meeting I still had on my snow boots, sweatpants and a swimsuit under my sweatshirt. As hideous as I was dressed guys were checking me out while a group of us were trying to find the restroom. When I arrived at the bathroom, 3 were very disgustingly out of order. I finally found one and when I was leaving to return to my meeting. I met a handsome guy there. It was like a movie, we kept catching glimpses of each other, smiling and walking in the same direction but on different paths. Eventually he carried my bags (not sure where they materialized from)  as he marveled at how pretty I was. (no really) Oh earlier, I took off my sweatshirt and was walking about in a swimsuit top, sweatpants, and flip flops which were somehow on my feet inside my boots! Then we had to part ways since I missed 50% of the meeting.  Perhaps the real life correlation as as follows....I actually had a training meeting earlier that day. Three stalls in the restroom were out of toilet paper. The strange admiration by various men....perhaps I am longing for some other guys to be attracted to me....and see through my hard exterior. Bahamas.....maybe I'm overdue for a vacation or meetings are a vacation away from the regular part of my job. The sweatsuit is most likely a reference to Michigan's shitty weather and the swimsuit and flip flops were representing the inner hotty trying to get out. Maybe...or I could be completely wrong. What do you think?

If it were up to me...

If it were up to me..............the golden rule would be embedded into each of us. Think about it...Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.....treat people better or at least as well as you yourself would like to be treated by others. It makes too much sense to not be mandatory. It should be accompanied with scratch my back and I'll scratch yours. Wouldn't it make sense  if you rubbed your partners feet....that they would turn right around and hook you up too....? OOOh just the thought. Or cooking a great breakfast for you and your Sig, and they come home and flabbergast you with a mouth watering dinner. You go out to the movies, they offer to drive there and you offer to drive  back. At work your colleague forgets his lunch at home, and you share yours or spot them a fiver. Tomorrow they actually pay you back or return the favor.   You want to go out with the girls and your BD offers to watch the kids.....next week encourage your partner to go hang with the fellas STRESS FREE.  Your sibling is out shopping and sees something you remember you wanted, so they pick it up for you and you actually offer to pay or return the gesture at a later date. I mean every relationship in this world is the epitome of give and take. Friendships, colleagues, lovers, family, etc....I can see it now...everyone is happy, relaxed and feeling good. SCREEEECH.........OK so scratch that. That shits is never going to happen..........but if it were up to me......it totally would all day every day. DAMN REALITY BITES lol

Going No Where Fast

Have you ever been driving and it seems that everyone is going faster than you? It's probably not because you are going really slow or the right speed. Have you ever been casually grocery shopping and have to move quickly to avoid other people power shopping up and down the aisles as if they were in Supermarket Sweeps? I often wonder are the groceries moving from aisle to aisle.? Are they trying to catch them? What about when walking from your car to an entrance of a business at the same time as another person.....it almost seems as if they are racing you there!

At the end of the day...all of these people are going nowhere fast, but may need to do so because its the only way they feel a sense of accomplishment. If you are one of those people..stop..take a second...take a breath...pace yourself...if you continue your entire life full speed a head...it is likely you are fast forwarding to your death.

Think about it....and ask yourself  3 questions: 1. What did you have for breakfast? Hopefully you didn't say  nothing, coffee or fast food...poor nutrition is a detriment to your life span. 2. Who did you smile at today? If you answer no one, or I faked a smile shame on you. Smiling is healthy for the skin, the mind and body.
3. How much sleep do you get daily? (I said daily because naps are not a sin) according to the Mayo clinic*, 7-9 hours is recommended for adults and if you are not getting quality sleep, then the amount of sleep required increases. Now of course its difficult to commit to that much sleep which is why naps....are not a bad thing.

I suggest we all take the time to enjoy required tasks such as grocery shopping. Smile as much as you can and laughing is even better. Put food in your body meant to help nourish (with the occasional sinful treat of course). Full speed a head just means you reach your destination faster......and as with everything else our destination comes to an end.
